What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to grow the game alongside the community, refining its core systems: world growth, building, exploration, and Luminids behavior - through real player feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Luminids to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months, depending on community feedback and the pace of feature development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our intention is to expand the core systems that make this game feel alive: deeper world simulation, more meaningful behaviours, and richer ways for Luminids to interact with their environment. We also plan to broaden creative play with additional building options, technologies, and late-game mechanics that encourage exploration and expression without pressure.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Luminids currently provides the core foundation of the experience. Players can guide living, expressive Luminids within the world featuring multiple biomes, natural resources, and dynamic terrain. You can build and plan from an overhead perspective, then explore your world in first person. Early settlement progression, foundational systems, and core simulation mechanics are already in place.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Early supporters will receive the game at a lower price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is central to the development of Luminids. We plan to gather input through our Discord community and Steam play testing. Player feedback will help guide balance adjustments, progression pacing, feature priorities, and overall direction.”

About This Game

Build their home. Step into their world.

Luminids is a cozy colony-building sandbox about creating a home for a growing community of tiny creatures.

Shape their world from above, then step down into first person and live in the place you’ve built. Walk its paths, tend the land, explore beyond the settlement and meet your Luminids face to face.

Build somewhere worth living in

Raise hills, carve the ground and build homes, farms and workshops. Gather resources, grow food and turn a patch of wilderness into somewhere your colony can call home.

Work alongside your Luminids, or step back and see how they get on.

Get to know the neighbours

Your Luminids form friendships and develop quirks through how they live. One might become a curious explorer. Another might be happiest near the water.

They gather, build, rest, play and find their own place within the colony. You shape their surroundings, but they have lives of their own.

Good luck not picking a favourite.

Follow your curiosity

There’s a world beyond your settlement to discover, from quiet forests and high mountains to deserts and forgotten sanctuaries.

Bring back resources. Find somewhere new to build. Or just take the long way home.

There’s no combat and no game over. Just a colony to care for, a world to explore, and room to take your time.
